A delicious tea, rich in antioxidants and vitamins using traditional herbs and spices
Head spinning, sinus aching, tummy trouble? 10 out of 10 times, in a Caribbean household someone is going to tell you to "Go drink some Tea".
West Indians love to drink tea.
We are especially drawn to making our tea from whatever fresh herbs and spices we can easily pick from right outside our windows.
Nothing beats steeping fresh herbs and getting its numerous benefits while being delicious. Popularly known to us as "bush teas", these caffeine free teas are also known for their native uses.
Herbal tea is thought of to be the "fix it" for any ailment. It can be a headache, to a toothache to a bruise.
I can hear my mother telling me to "boil and drink some tea". Somehow it fixes everything. Or probably just calms you down to not stress too much about whatever pain you're experiencing.

Yes, there are the benefits, but I can assure you the taste is going to be the most important thing.
As much as I roll my eyes at my mom for always suggesting I fix some herbal tea whenever I am not feeling 100%. I must confess that it does provide relief. Whether it be a physical or mental.
This tea can also be easily transformed into an "iced" version. Just double the herbs when boiling and pour over ice.
Did I mention the detox benefits of bush teas too?
Perfect for after these Super Bowl platters I went through.
So tell me, what is your favorite tea?
